Service allowance pressure settings are available for setting the main relief valve and the line relief valves for certain Excavators. Refer to the following tables for a listing of the factory pressures settings and the field allowance setting. The factory standard for pressure setting is 35000 ± 500 kPa (5075 ± 73 psi) for standard and 38000 ± 500 kPa (5500 ± 73 psi) for heavy lift. This standard is a factory set pressure that is used during machine assembly. Pressures that are measured in the field might be out of this range due to the accuracy of the pressure gage, tolerance in the measurement or interpretation of the gage reading. A new 198-4240 Digital Pressure Indicator Gp provides a more accurate setting of the main valve and the line relief valves.

Refer to the field inspection allowance in the following tables to determine if the measured pressures are normal. refer to 'Test and Adjusting- Relief Valve' of each Models for measurement or readjustment of the relief valve. Refer to Test and Adjusting, "Relief Valve" of each model for measurement or readjustment of the relief valve.
