Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Release the hydraulic system pressure.

Personal injury can result from hydraulic oil pressure and hot oil. Hydraulic oil pressure can remain in the hydraulic system after the engine has been stopped. Serious injury can be caused if this pressure is not released before any service is done on the hydraulic system. Make sure all of the work tools have been lowered to the ground, and the oil is cool before removing any components or lines. Remove the oil filler cap only when the engine is stopped, and the filler cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand.

1. Remove bolts (2) and plate assembly (1).

2. Disconnect harness assemblies (3) and hose assemblies (4) from shuttle valve (5).

3. Remove bolts (6) and shuttle valve (5).

4. Remove bolts (7) and support (8).

5. Remove pressure sensor (9), (14), and (15). Remove pressure switch (16).

6. Remove plug (10), O-ring seal (11), seat (12), and ball (13).

Installation procedure

1. Install shuttle valve (5) in the reverse order of removal.

   1. Tighten pressure switch (16) to a torque of 23 ± 2 N·m (204 ± 18 lb in).

   2. Tighten plug (10) to a torque of 27 ± 3 N·m (20 ± 2 lb ft).

   3. Tighten pressure sensor (9) to a torque of 48 ± 5 N·m (35 ± 4 lb ft).

   4. Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of bolts (2).
