  1. Remove two bolts (5).

  2. Remove bolts (1) and plate assembly (2).

  3. Remove bolts (4) and plate assembly (3).

  4. Disconnect hose assemblies (7) and (8).

  5. Remove tube assembly (10).

  6. Remove bolts (9), oil filter base (6), gasket (13), oil cooler (12), and gasket (11).

    ------ WARNING! ------

    Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a released spring force.

    Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.

    Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.


  7. Remove plug (14), spring (15), and check valve (16).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install engine oil cooler (12) in the reverse order of removal.

    1. Tightening bolts (9) in numerical sequence. Retorque bolts (9) in numerical sequence to ensure that bolts (9) are properly torqued.

    2. Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of bolts (1), (4), and (5).
