1.1. Removal Procedure

Removal Procedure

------ WARNING! ------

When the pin assembly is removed, the linkage assembly may swing out of the bucket. To prevent possible personal injury, do not stand in front of the linkage assembly when the pin assembly is being removed.

  1. Start the machine. Position the bucket and the stick, as shown.

  2. Remove retaining bolt (3) and nuts (1) from bucket pin (2).

  3. Remove bucket pin (2). Link assembly (4) will swing forward when the bucket pin is removed.

  4. Attach a suitable lifting device to link assembly (4), as shown. Attach a suitable lifting device to left hand link assembly (8) and to right hand link (9), as shown. Raise link assembly (4) until link assembly (4) is in a horizontal position.

  5. Remove nuts (7) and retaining bolt (5) from pin (6). Remove pin (6) from link assemblies (4) and (8), and from the rod end of the bucket cylinder.

  6. Remove link assembly (4). The weight of link assembly (4) is approximately 48 kg (106 lb).

  7. Remove nuts (10) and retaining bolt (11) from pin (12). Use a hammer and a punch to drive pin (12) into the stick until left hand link assembly (8) is free. Remove left hand link assembly (8).

  8. Remove pin (12) from the stick and from right hand link (9). Remove right hand link (9).
