1.1. Removal Procedure

To facilitate removal of the bucket pins without causing damage to the pins, the bearings, and/or the O-ring seals put the bucket on the floor and the stick in a vertical position, as shown. |
- Start the machine. Position the bucket, the stick, and the bucket control linkage, as shown.

Illustration 1 g00911451 Note: Relieve the pressure on the bucket pins by moving the stick up and down.
- Remove nuts and retaining bolt (2) from bucket pin (5). Remove bucket pin (5).
- Pull link assembly (1) away from the bucket. Remove two O-ring seals (4).
- Remove nuts and the retaining bolt (3) from bucket pin (6).

- Remove flange (9) and dowel (8). Check the condition of the flange and the dowel.
- The bucket weighs approximately
453 kg (999 lb) . The weight of the bucket depends on the size of the bucket that is used.
