315C Excavator Machine Systems Cab - Remove Caterpillar

Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Remove the storage box from the cab. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Storage Box and Covers (Cab) - Remove and Install".

1. Open the cab door. Lock the cab door in the OPEN position.

2. Remove screws (2) and strip (1).

3. Remove floormat (3).

4. Remove screws (5) and cover (4).

5. Remove storage box (6) from the left side of the cab.

6. Remove screws (9), plastic screws (7), the washers, and cover (8).

7. Remove screws (10) and upper air duct (11).

8. Remove screws (12) from the fresh air duct.

9. Remove air duct (13).

10. Remove air duct (14).

11. Disconnect harness assemblies (15).

12. Disconnect harness assemblies (16).

13. Disconnect washer fluid hose (17).

14. Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to cab (18).

15. Position lower window wiper (19) away from the window, as shown.

16. Remove cab mounting bolts (20).

17. Remove cab (18). The weight of cab (18) is approximately 295 kg (650 lb).
