Assembly Procedure

Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement. Dirt and other contaminants can damage the precision components of the pump or of the motor. All disassembly and all assembly procedures must be performed on a clean work surface and in a clean hydraulic area. Keep cleaned parts covered and protected at all times.

Note: Check the O-ring seals, the gaskets, and the seals for wear or damage and replace the components, if necessary.

Note: Apply a light film of hydraulic oil to all components before assembly.

2. Install plugs (164). Tighten plugs (164) to a torque of 137 ± 10 N·m (101 ± 7 lb ft).

4. Install plug (160A). Tighten plug (160A) to a torque of 74 ± 5 N·m (54 ± 4 lb ft).

5. Install remaining plugs (160). Tighten plugs (160) to a torque of 137 ± 10 N·m (101 ± 7 lb ft).

6. Install valve (108), spring (107), and plug (106) in valve assembly (159). Install O-ring seals (109) .

8. Assemble control valve (156). Install stop (101), springs (100) and (99), seats (104), and bolt (103) on spool (102) .
