Keep all parts clean from contaminants. Contamination of the hydraulic system with foreign material will reduce the service life of the hydraulic system components. To prevent contaminants from entering the hydraulic system, always plug or cap the lines, fittings, or hoses as they are disconnected. Cover any disassembled components and clean them properly before assembly. Clean the hydraulic system properly after any major component exchange or especially after a component failure, to remove any contamination. |
- Install backup ring (37) and (42). Install O-ring seals (38), (39), (40), (41), and (43) from valve (25).

Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a released spring force.
Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.
Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.
- Install O-ring seal (36).
- Install valve (25).
- Install plug (24) and O-ring seal (23).
- Install plugs (20) and O-ring seals (22).
- Install valve (35), spring (34), O-ring seal (33), ring (32) and guide (31).
- Install valve (28), spring (27), and guide (26).
- Position cover (30) and install bolts (29).
- Install ball (21), seat (19), O-ring seal (18), plug (17), and nut (16) into relief valve (3).

- Install guide (13), spring (12), shims (11), and guide (10).
- Install O-ring seal (7).
- Position cover (9) and install bolts (8).
- Install O-ring seals (6) and plugs (5) into pilot valve (2).
