1.1. Assembly Procedure
- Install the O-ring seals and plugs (36). Tighten plugs (36) to a torque of
10 ± 1 N·m (89 ± 9 lb in) .Show/hide tableIllustration 2 g02241175 Show/hide tableImproper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily injury.
To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure and wear protective equipment.
Note: Lubricate the O-ring seals and the backup rings with lubricant that is being sealed.
- Install O-ring seal (35) onto body (34).
- Install O-ring seal (31) and backup rings (32) onto valve (30).
- Install O-ring seal (24), backup rings (25), and O-ring seal (26) onto body (23).
- Install O-ring seal (20) onto screw (19).
- Install valve (33), valve (30), plunger (29), spring (28), spring (27), body (23), plunger (22), spring (21), screw (19), and nut (18) into body (34). Tighten body (23) to a torque of
59 ± 6 N·m (44 ± 4 lb ft) . Tighten nut (18) to a torque of20 ± 2 N·m (177 ± 18 lb in) .Show/hide tableIllustration 3 g02241174 Show/hide tableImproper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily injury.

- Install backup ring (14) and O-ring seal (15) onto cover (13).
- Install valve (17), spring (16), cover (13), and bolts (12). Tighten bolts (12) to a torque of

- Install piston (4), O-ring seal (3), cover (2), and bolts (1). Tighten bolts (1) to a torque of
28 ± 7 N·m (21 ± 5 lb ft) . - Install spool assembly (5), retainer (6), spring (7), O-ring seal (8), cover (9), and bolts (10). Tighten bolts (10) to a torque of
28 ± 7 N·m (21 ± 5 lb ft) .
