------ WARNING! ------

When you are using hydraulic cylinders and puller studs, always ensure that the rated capacity of the puller stud meets or exceeds the rated capacity of the hydraulic cylinder. If the puller stud does not meet or exceed the rated capacity of the hydraulic cylinder, a sudden failure of the puller stud could occur. The sudden failure of the puller stud could result in personal injury or death.


Start By:

  1. Remove the bucket control linkage.

  1. Remove lip seals (1) from the power link (2).

  2. Attach a suitable lifting device to Tooling (A), as shown.

  3. Use Tooling (A) to remove sleeve bearing (3) from the open end of the power link.

  4. Use Tooling (A) to remove the sleeve bearing from the opposite side of the power link.

  5. Remove the sleeve bearings from the closed end of the power link by using a chisel or by cutting.

  6. Remove lip seals (4) from the bore for the idler link in the stick.

  7. Attach a suitable lifting device to Tooling (B), as shown.

  8. Use Tooling (B) to remove the sleeve bearing from the stick.

  9. Use Tooling (B) to remove the sleeve bearing from the opposite side of the stick.
