Start By:

  1. Remove the counterweight.

  1. Drain the hydraulic oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic System Oil - Change" for the correct draining and filling procedures.

  2. Remove bolts (1) and cover (2).

  3. Loosen clamp (5). Remove bolts (4) and channel assembly (3).

  4. Remove bolts (7) and cover assembly (6).

  5. Disconnect harness assembly (8). Cut the cable straps and reposition harness assembly (10) out of the way.

  6. Remove bolts (9).

  7. Disconnect hose assemblies (11), (12), (13), and (14).

  8. Remove bolts (16) and reposition plate assembly (15) out of the way.

  9. Remove insulation (20).

  10. Remove bolts (21) and (22).

  11. Disconnect harness assembly (18). Reposition soot sensor assembly (19) out of the way.

  12. Cut cable straps (24) and disconnect harness assembly (23).

  13. Remove bolts (25) and (26).

  15. Disconnect hose assemblies (28) and (29).

  16. Loosen clamp and disconnect tube (30).

  17. Disconnect hose assemblies (31), (32), and (33).

  18. Cut cable straps (34), (35), and (36).

  19. Disconnect harness assembly (37).

  20. Remove bolts (38) and (39).

  22. Disconnect hose assemblies (42), (43), and (44).

  24. Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to hydraulic tank and filter (48). The weight of hydraulic tank and filter (48) is approximately 157 kg (350 lb).

  25. Remove bolts (49) and hydraulic tank and filter (48).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install hydraulic tank and filter (48) in the reverse of removal.

    1. Install Tooling (B) on the threads of bolts (49).
