Operator controls (3) Changeover valve |
Undercarriage cylinder (adjustable gauge) (1) uses hydraulic oil from the blade function. When an undercarriage cylinder (adjustable gauge) function is desired, changeover valve (3) is manually shifted against the spring. When changeover valve (3) is manually shifted, the valve directs the oil flow from the blade circuit to the cylinder for the undercarriage (adjustable gauge).
When the operator performs an undercarriage width increase function, the blade control valve / variable gauge cylinder control valve is shifted UPWARD. Oil from hydraulic pump (7) flows through blade control valve / variable gauge cylinder control valve (6), to swivel (2) and into the head end of cylinder (1). Return oil flows out of the rod end through swivel (2). Return oil flows into blade control valve / variable gauge cylinder control valve (6) and back to hydraulic tank (8). This causes the cylinder rod to extend. The extending of the cylinder rod causes the tracks to spread.
When the operator performs an undercarriage width decrease function, oil flows in the reverse direction.
