Introduction
Do not perform any procedure in this Special Instruction until you have read the information and you understand the information.
There have been some isolated instances of issues with debris blocking up the pickup pipe for the manifold (DEF Heater). This has resulted in a lack of injection of Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF). The following diagnostic trouble codes may be displayed in the electronic service tool:
- E931 (2) Low Aftertreatment #1 SCR Dosing Reagent Absolute Pressure: Low - moderate severity (2)
- E1370 (2) Aftertreatment Diesel Exhaust Fluid Dosing Unit Loss of Prime
A new filter has been introduced for the Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) tank adaptor. The new filter in the DEF tank adaptor helps to eliminate debris from entering the DEF system and reduces the occurrences of the E931 (2) and E1370 (2) diagnostic trouble codes being displayed.
