If the track rollers and idlers are hot or leaking, the oil level may be low.

For more information on checking the condition of the track rollers and idlers, refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Undercarriage - Check".

Note: Before checking the oil level or adding oil, clean the end of the plug and clean the surface around the plug.

Upper Roller Assembly

Note: There are three upper rollers on each side of the undercarriage.

  1. Plug (4) is located on upper roller (1). Rotate the roller until the plug is 45 degrees from the vertical upward position.

  1. Remove plug (4) and slowly fill the cavity with oil until the oil reaches the bottom of the opening.

  1. Clean the plug.

  1. Apply Loctite to the plug and install the plug.

Lower Roller Assembly

Note: There are eight lower rollers on each side of the undercarriage.

  1. Plug (5) is located on lower roller (2). Remove the plug and slowly fill the cavity with oil until the oil reaches the bottom of the opening.

  1. Clean the plug.

  1. Apply Loctite to the plug and install the plug.

Front Idler

Note: The front idlers are located in the front section of the undercarriage. Each side of the undercarriage has one idler.

  1. Plug (6) is located on front idler (3). Rotate the idler until the plug is 45 degrees from the vertical upward position.

  1. Remove plug (6) and slowly fill the cavity with oil until the oil reaches the bottom of the opening.

  1. Clean the plug.

  1. Apply Loctite to the plug and install the plug.
